Emotions in Oil

Through these paintings of plant life Sawada tries to reveal the invisible power of flora and her own flowing of emotions.

The postcard image is of the chrysanthemum. This flower is important in the history and culture of Japan as it was taken as a symbol by their emperors.

While praying to God and considering life and death, she created this collection.

onetwentyeight is very happy to introduce Ms. Sawada in her premier showing in New York City.
